AAJA PRESENTS: CREEKSIDE

SATURDAY 7TH

AAJA Celebrates 6 Years in the game with the return of Creekside Festival! A Multi-venue festival in south east London with 17 independent venues taking part. Expect a bloc party with homegrown talent, DJ’s, crews and radio playing House, Garage, Jungle, Breaks, Soul and everything electronic in between. As well as a celebration of local artists, Creekside will also be a celebration of local food and culture, with plenty of food venders from both deptford and further afield. On a more personal note, I was once lost in Deptford, hungover without a wallet or phone and the kind people of AAJA kindly let me perch up in their bunker with an on-the-house beer as I listened to a local selector mix vinyl immaculately. And although I rarely traverse the rail network from the top to the tail of London (from my perspective), AAJA has held a spot in my heart ever since. They’re a beautiful community doing beautiful things in a world that often seems desperate to eliminate those who champion the quieter voices, and I don’t know anywhere else in London that would’ve given a lost soul a beer and a seat instead of a F*** O**! We’ll certainly be making an appearance and I’m not sure who wouldn’t with £11 TICKETS!
